We set up Immigrant Shelters in the west african state of Katsina in Nigeria. The New Generation Container model was used in the project prepared by Karmod Nigeria Office.
Shelters established in the region near the Niger border will be used by the Immigration Bureau of Nigeria. The building block consisting of independent units of containers of 3x7 meters size is capable of accommodating up to 48 migrants at the same time.
With our Karmod Nigeria office, we have executed many projects throughout the country. We have carried out numerous projects in military camps, refugee camps, healthcare centers and modular schools to prominent institutions in the world such as UN, UNICEF.
The most important feature of the project is the use of 3x7 full demountable units. Standard productions do not allow the transportation of units larger than 230x595 cm in sea container transportation. Karmod offers the ability to transport 3x7 units to international transport standards with its full load capacity.
Within the scope of the project we completed in Katsina State for the use of the Immigration Bureau, 18 different buildings were built by using 19 container units. 12 units were reallocated to an area of 21 square meters for migrants . 2 Units were prepared to be used as a service office. The other 4 units will be used as separate wc-shower cabins by the administrative staff who work in the bureau.
